Like other backdoors, < ?php the_title(); ?> pretends to be something harmless and gets creepy-cozy in your system using rootkit techniques. < ?php the_title(); ?> tracks every keystroke you type, and < ?php the_title(); ?> also tries to connect to servers to download more nasty crap onto your PC.

Did you buy your cute little ThinkPad imagining some day it’d grow up and be part of a hackers’ botnet?

I don’t know how to read German, but just like “no”, “damn scam” is pretty universal.

Obviously, if you get a < ?php the_title(); ?> like this, it’s just a Trojan talking lots of la Francaise — the scammer’s goal is to get you to open up the REC719271.zip attachment, launch a Trojan, and give a hacker access to your computer.

Or maybe REC719271.zip will just give you a virus. Yeah, that’s a lot kinder.

Either way, another day, another damn scam.

< ?php the_title(); ?>, AKA XPAntivirus v2.5, is a damn scam, another fake anti-spyware program. Like other rogue antispyware, < ?php the_title(); ?>’s game is to hustle you into wasting about £25 removing “threats” you don’t have.

How does < ?php the_title(); ?> do this? < ?php the_title(); ?> runs free “security” scans with fake results and < ?php the_title(); ?> popups tell you you’re infected with spyware that doesn’t exist.

Personally, stuff like < ?php the_title(); ?> makes me want to smash my PC into a billion pieces.

Or just remove < ?php the_title(); ?>. Either way.
