Badware Protector
Posted February 12, 2009
Having exhausted all possible uses of the words “Antivirus”, “Spyware” and “Malware”, scammer’s are now using “Badware” in their fake secuirty program titles, starting with Badware Protector.
Just a reminder that today’s magic word is “bad” so scream whenever you read that word today.
I’m not sure what Badware Protector defines as Badware, as all I see it doing is constantly generating fake alerts for threats that aren’t even on my computer to try and trick me into buying the full version.
Perhaps my desktop is badware and Badware Protector is trying to protect me from that.
You can remove Badware Protector using the Badware Protector manual removal instructions. Because Badware Protector was most likely put on your computer by a bad Trojan, I recommend running a free scan of Spyware Doctor to see what it finds any thing bad on your computer.
(FYI: for some links to software we receive a commission. This is one of them. But we wouldn’t recommend Spyware Doctor if we didn’t think it would help.)
