“Find Your Friends on MySpace” email

You probably don’t know this but I am a pretty private and introverted guy so the whole “social networking website” thing doesn’t do me. I wouldn’t even be on Facebook if it weren’t for the Damn Boss.
That’s why I was surprised to get the following email from MySpace.
Now you can import your address book from multiple email accounts so you can friend contacts who are already on MySpace and invite those who aren’t on the site to join.

2. Log in to your email account
3. Click “Find Friends”
I have never used MySpace so why would they be sending me emails?
That’s right, it’s a fake email. It’s hard to say what the purpose of this email is as they didn’t provide any links. My guess that it either takes you to a fake MySpace page where the scammers will gain your login information or this feature will require a “plugin” that will infect your computer with malicious software.
If you have received this email, delete it immediately unless your enjoy being scammed.
