Defender-review.com promotes the fake antivirus, Personal Defender 2009.

Never saw that coming.

You see that lovely checklist I’ve got as a screen shot? It’s what Defender-review.com calls an “exhaustive software comparison”. Forgive me if I’m wrong but don’t “exhaustive software comparisons” require you to actually compare software. Not that Personal Defender 2009 actually does any of the things that it claims it will do.

Anyway, avoid defender-review.com

First is av-antivir-scanner-3.net, a website hijacker that wont let you leave until you have you have installed a fake antvirus or have forcefully quit your browser.

The next is defender-review.com which is home to Personal Defender 2009.

Thats it, no Antivirus 2009 websites to report today.

Personal Defender 2009 is a new fake anti-spyware program wanting to show you it’s fake security pop ups.

I’m not exactly sure what the scammers say Personal Defender 2009 will do. Going by a picture on it’s website, Personal Defender 2009 “protects” you from the evil Internet Explorer and men who wear hats and sunglasses. Apparently these things want to plug an oversized cable into your laptop.

Spyware Doctor will do a much better job at protecting your computer as well as removing Personal Defender 2009 for you. As always, you can remove Personal Defender 2009 manually.
