Total Virus Protection
Posted February 17, 2009
Total Virus Protection is an naughty new fake antivirus program that wants to con you out of your money.
It’s a little known fact but did you know Total Virus Protection was originally named Totally Useless Virus Protection but the scammer’s didn’t think they could con anyone with that title?
Total Virus Protection just slows down your computer and sends you you fake alerts for threats that aren’t even on your computer to try and trick you into buying the “full” version. If you don’t care about your sanity, you can just try and work around Total Virus Protection.
There are no manual removal instructions for Total Virus Protection at the moment so for now look in the Program Files folder and delete any folder saying “Total Virus Protection”. This will not completely remove Total Virus Protection so use Spyware Doctor to remove the remaining Total Virus Protection files from your computer as well as the Trojan that put it on your computer in the first place.
