WinPC Defender
Posted March 16, 2009
WinPC Defender is another fake antivirus program that tries to con you out of your money.
WinPC Defender does a really good job of defending your computer. Well it does if you not fussed with WinPC Defender not actually doing anything other than generating fake security alerts for threats that aren’t even on the computer to try and trick you into buying the full version. Even after you buy it you are left with a worthless pop up generating program. Other than that, WinPC Defender runs fine.
There are not manual removal instructions for WinPC Defender yet so I recommend you use Spyware Doctor to remove WinPC Defender and the Trojan it came on instead.
(FYI: for some links to software we receive a commission. This is one of them. But we wouldn’t recommend Spyware Doctor if we didn’t think it would help.)
