Your Computer is Infected Pop Ups
Posted November 11, 2008
411-Spyware is talking about some fake security pop ups that want to help part you from your money. First is the “Your computer is infected! Windows has detected spyware infection!” popup which displays:
“Your computer is infected! Windows has detected spyware infection! It is recomended to use special antispyware tools to prevent data loss. Windows will now download and install the most up to date antispyware for you!”
Even if Windows detected spyware infections, it would logically download Microsoft OneCare, not what ever fake garbage the Trojan behind this pop up chooses to install.
411-Spyware will show you how to manually remove “Your computer is infected! Windows has detected spyware infection!” popup
Next we have “Warning: Spyware threat has been detected on your PC” Desktop.
“Warning: Spyware threat has been detected on your PC.
Your computer has several errors due to spyware activity.
It is strongly recommended to install an antispyware software to close all security vulnerabilities.
Antispyware software helps protect your PC against spyware and other security threats.
UPDATE YOUR ANTISPYWARE PROTECTION“
I’m confused, you want me to install antispyware software but at the end of the message you are yelling at me to update my antispyware software, implying I already have antispyware software installed. Which is it annoying pop up?
Once again, 411-Spyware will show you how to manually remove “Warning: Spyware threat has been detected on your PC” desktop.
